Houses That Work Event
Houses That Work Build Green Utah is connecting builders, architects, developers and homeowners with the Energy & Environmental Building Association (EEBA), and presenting the opportunity to participate in a Houses That Work program. On December 7th at The Canyons Resort, a building science education and resource conference will take place.
Tools will be provided for transforming the residential design and construction industry and for profitably delivering energy efficient, environmentally responsible buildings and communities. Houses That Work is a concise look at the house-as-a-system and the re-engineering process for enhanced building performance. Learn from the thousands of homes that have been successfully built using Building America practices and view case studies that demonstrate improved performance and efficiency by as much as 50%.
Thousands of building professionals have benefited from Houses That Work seminars. Examples of homes designed and built in the Western region will provide concepts that you can immediately apply to your building projects. The house-as-a-system concept is essential to good building science and applicable everywhere, regardless of climate zone or square footage of the home being built.
Quoting a builder that has gone through the course, “We’re always looking to upgrade our product. Houses That Work is a win-win situation for our company. Obviously we want to generate revenue but we also want to educate our buyers and offer them a great product. Houses That Work gives us the tools to do that and more.” Join Build Green Utah, at the Canyons Resort, Friday, Dec 7 at 8am for a day of experiential learning with the Houses That Work team.
